Regent Street Food Festival 2003

More than 20,000 food lovers flocked to Regent Street on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June to enjoy the first ever Regent Street Food Festival.

Celebrity chefs, including Gordon Ramsay and Caroline Waldegrave, cooked up a storm in the Cookery Theatre, while the aromas of freshly barbecued foods wafted down Regent Street, drawing in thousands of weekend shoppers to explore the specially built Food Village.

The event took place on Heddon Street, Regent Street's food quarter, which came alive with the colours and aromas of food from around the world, visitors spilled on to the pavements from the street's restaurants, dining al fresco and enjoying the sunshine on one of the hottest weekends of the year.

There is already talk of repeating the Festival in 2004. Sign up for our Regent Street e-newsletter to receive regular updates of other exciting Street events.
